Soft Servo Systems, Inc. is the developer and provider of innovative PC-based motion control “Soft Motion” products, founded in February 1998 by MIT professionals with funding from private investors.

Who we are.
We were among the first to develop a truly PC-based motion controller, in which a single, powerful PC combined with FPGA technology, performed all real-time servo control operations. First with our CNC solutions, a single PC handled feedback loops, multi-axis coordination, NC path generation, GUI, data processing, plant monitoring, network communication, and much more.
Now, we have taken our experience, technology, and expertise further to develop solutions for motion control and Robot control, further exploiting the ever-improving CPUs to provide the highest, advanced performance of fully synchronous control of up to 64 axes for motion and multi-robot control. We provide variety of APIs for machine makers, system integrators and developers who want to create their own, custom motion control that caters to their specific machine.
Our software runs on Windows environment with a real-time kernel. With our APIs for motion control, robot control and industrial network management, user’s original motion control software can be developed with almost any commercially available development platform such as Microsoft Visual Studio.
